UTV goes through Ice Monday evening

A side by side went through the ice on Kabetogama Lake on Monday.

The driver was a 64-year-old man from the Kabetogama area.

He was towing a fish house when his UTV fell through the ice.

The man did make it out of the partially submerged vehicle and onto stable ice.

The rescue crew brought him back to shore.

Paramedics evaluated him for exposure and minor injuries before releasing him to family

The Sheriff’s office would like to remind the public that the recent mild temperatures and rainfall have affected ice conditions.
