Spooner Police Officer Resigns after Drunk Driving Incident

A Spooner police officer has resigned after being arrested for driving drunk. 

On Saturday, the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to a one car crash on County Highway K in Washburn County.  

Police say 26-year-old Dustin Anderson, of Spooner, was the driver.  As a result of the investigation, Anderson was arrested for Operating while Intoxicated. 

Anderson worked as a part time police officer for the Spooner Police Department.  He was off duty at the time of the incident. 

Anderson resigned on Monday.
