UMD’s Clara Van Wieren Nominated for 2025 Hockey Humanitarian Award

Van Wieren becomes the 3rd Bulldog nominee for the award over the past four years.

DULUTH, Minn.- UMD graduate forward Clara Van Wieren has been named one of the 14 nominees for the 2025 Hockey Humanitarian Award.

Van Wieren stays busy off the ice as she’s the president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and the co-president of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council.

She becomes the 3rd Bulldog nominee for the award over the past four years, joining Gabbie Hughes, who won the award in 2023.
