UMD Forward Charlie Katona Named to 2025 Bevo Francis Award Watch List

Katona is the second Bulldog to be nominated for this honor.

DULUTH, Minn.- UMD forward Charlie Katona has been named to the 2025 Bevo Francis Award Top 100 watch list.

The Bevo Francis Award is given to the player with an outstanding season in small college basketball.

Katona is the second Bulldog to be nominated for this honor as Drew Blair was nominated last season.

In his fifth season with the Bulldogs, Katona currently leads the team in points with 245.

He also has recorded 103 rebounds and 23 steals.

The list will get trimmed down again before finalists are announced in April.
