Ashland Ore Dock Celebration Rescheduled

Storms cancelled the 100 year Ashland Ore Dock Celebration. It's rescheduled for October 1st.

After storms forced the organizers of Ashland’s 100 year birthday/anniversary party for the ore dock to cancel, the party is set to start again.

Organizers have picked October 1st to recognize the importance of the ore dock in the Ashland community.

“All the people that made donations to this, I want this to go through for them. They put in their hard earned money to make this event happen. Not only for the fireworks, I want to see the fireworks shot off. I want this to be done for the folks,” said Don Jaskowiak, Ashland Ore Dock Ad Hoc committee member.

Event organizers raised over $5,000 in under one week for the big party.

They hope to bring back the music, food, and fun for the October celebration.
