City of Superior Emphasizes Nature in 2024
SUPERIOR, Wis.– This past year, the city of Superior has been sprucing up the area by reworking and reimagining the landscape to be more in touch with nature.
Superior reintroduced the new and improved Woodstock Bay Landing in August.
It used to be a gravel and dirt boat landing, but transformed into an area filled with trails, a pavilion, and a place to dock kayaks.
Woodstock Bay also features three standing docks for fishing.
Superior is still working on other ways to highlight the outdoors in every neighborhood.
“But we’re carrying that same vision of access to nature and beautiful spaces to every single neighborhood. So that’s what the Hammond Avenue project was about. Bringing trees and a safer calmer street into a neighborhood to make it a nicer, safer place to live,” said Superior Mayor Jim Paine.
Stay tuned for Monday, where we will be going more in depth about how the 2024 year shaped out for Superior.
