Wood Magic Closing Its Doors After Auction This Weekend
HERMANTOWN, Minn. — After 43 years in business, Wood Magic in Hermantown is closing its doors.
The long-standing business was known for custom cabinetry, curtains, and gifts.
While they have stopped doing custom cabinetry, there are still 8 rooms full of various gifts and decor, from Sandicast figurines to Fenton art glassware.
The owner shared her message for their customers.
“Thank you so much. We’ve always appreciated our customers, we’ve tried to do service, we’ve tried to help with different things. And uh, I’m not going anywhere so if someone should happen to call me, I could answer a question or whatever, but it’s been a great run. I’ve had wonderful people that have come in. I’ve had wonderful workers.” shared Margaret Taylor, owner of Wood Magic.
After 43 years, letting go of a business like this might seem hard, but as Taylor simply puts it, ‘it’s time.’
“Most of these companies that I have in here are no longer in business. And we felt that maybe it was time for us to carry on and do something else with my life,” said Taylor.
Sellers Auction will be handling the closeout. There will be tag discounts throughout the rest of this week and a final auction Saturday, Feb. 1, starting at 11am.
