Art is Back in Bayfront Park
More Than 180 Artists Show Their Work
Thousands of people walk through Bayfront Park, where more than 100 artists display their work, like Photographs of breathtaking landscapes, intricate beadwork, and elegant sculptures.
The Artists traveled from across the country and even globally to show off their work at Bayfront Park, wo that festival goers have a chance to meet the artists, and even buy a few pieces to take home.
“From Texas to Ontario, from Pennsylvania to Florida to California to Minnesota to Wisconsin,” lists Debora Bernick, the director of the Art Festival.
Artists didn’t just come to show their work. Many of them are excited to see who is awarded the best of show.
“To get in to the art fair, you’re judged by a panel of judges, and once you get accepted in, then you’re judged again when you’re here,” says Bernick.
“Each judge will be responsible for a particular medium, there will be a judge for photography, this is me, there will be a judge for sculpture, painting, mixed media and so forth,” says Ken Bloom, a Judge, and also Director at the Tweed Museum.
Awards are given out to the winners of each medium of art, and the overall best of the whole show, on Friday at Marshall School.
