Iditarod Musher Schroeder Returns to the Northland
He was pleased with his run, despite challenges along the way.
After running his third Iditarod, Nathan Schroeder has returned to the Northland.
He feels like he had a pretty decent run, despite having both his dogs and himself get sick.
Schroeder also faced hypothermia but believes sleep deprivation is the worst part of the trek.
“It’s a challenge. I love it. I like being out there with the dogs. It’s a lifestyle that I enjoy but when it’s done, you’re happy to get back to the real world and where things are easy,” said Schroeder.
He said that he would love to try and do the whole thing again next year.
