Duluth Man Arrested on Drug and Firearm Charges

A Duluth man was recently arrested on drug and firearm charges.

Duluth Police and the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force arrested Justin Charles Dowell, 25, of Duluth on August 11 at approximately 2:00 p.m.

Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence located in the area of the 2100 block of West Fourth Street in Duluth.

During the execution of the search warrant, investigators located methamphetamine, heroin, and a firearm.

Dowell was taken to jail and formally charged in St. Louis District Court for felon in possession of a firearm and 5th degree possession of a controlled substance.

Dowell’s criminal history reveals multiple prior convictions for felony Fifth-Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance and two convictions for Financial Transaction Card Fraud in St. Louis County District Court.
