Former Husky Michael Hallquist Invited to Spring Training with Cleveland Guardians

Hallquist was named Northwoods League Player of the Year following the 2023 season.

DULUTH, Minn.- A former Duluth Husky is getting a shot to land with a big league club.

Infielder Michael Hallquist has been invited to spring training with the Cleveland Guardians.

The Fargo native spent two summers in Duluth, playing for the Huskies in 2022 and 2023.

In his 2nd season, he had a breakout campaign, clubbing 15 home runs and 65 runs batted in.

He was also named Northwoods League Player of the Year following the 2023 season.

Hallquist and the Guardians report to Spring Training on February 16th.
