Bicycle Route 41 will connect St. Paul to the Canadian Border

The route is close to official designation.

A bike route between St. Paul to the Canadian border via Duluth is pedaling its way faster towards completion.

US Bicycle Route 41 will connect 325 miles of existing roads and trails to create a continuous bicycle route.

The path is just about ready for designation but the public has a few more opportunities to share their input online and in person.

“They’re the experts. They live here. They know the spaces that people either would like to be or already are bicycling and it really is giving us insight,” said project manager Liz Walton.

MnDOT will submit an application soon and the route could be designated as early as October.
