Big First Period for #6 UMD Women’s Hockey Leads to Series Sweep Over Minnesota State-Mankato

DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD women’s hockey team wrapped up their final home series of the season as they hosted Minnesota State-Mankato on Saturday.
The Bulldogs earned the series sweep as they took down the Mavericks 4 to 1, improving to 19-11-2.
The leading scorer for UMD was Olivia Mobley who scored two goals in the first period.
UMD will close out the regular season on the road as they travel to Minneapolis to take on the University of Minnesota.
Game one of the Bulldogs series with the Golden Gophers is on Friday, February 21.
