New London Café Stays Busy During Pandemic

DULUTH, Minn.- Staff at New London Café on East Superior Street say business has really been picking up since they reopened about five months ago.

We caught up with their head cook who says the influx of customers has been a little unexpected and they are happy it is getting busier as the summer season approaches.

“We were a lot busier than we were all expecting, so that was really cool,” said Ricky Hietala, the head cook. “It feels good, getting out of a funk a little bit, getting back in the normal life, not stuck at home all day.”

The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday.
