CSS Football Head Coach Mike Heffernan Steps Down After Seven Seasons

Heffernan accepted the head coaching job at Elmhurst University.

DULUTH, Minn.- The St. Scholastica football program is in search of a new head coach as Mike Heffernan stepped down from his position on Saturday.

Heffernan accepted the head coaching job at Elmhurst University, where he graduated in 2007.

During Heffernan’s time at Elmhurst University, he was a two-year starter on the defensive line.

In Heffernan’s seven seasons with the Saints, he had a record of 16-32.

Heffernan ended his coaching career with the Saints on a high note as they defeated Macalester College 44-41 in their season finale.
