Turning Debris into Art

Some people are taking the loads of tree debris in Duluth and turning it into artwork.

John Nephew has a passion for woodworking. Since the storms, he’s been re-purposing fallen trees for his friends and neighbors.

He’s made counter tops, shelves and even bowls.

“It’s a nice way to remember a tree that may have lived there for decades and it was a part of their kids growing up,” said Nephew.

This is just a hobby for Nephew; he’s not making it into a business.
