Hayward Girls Hockey Tops Superior in Double OT Thriller to Reach Round 3

Hayward advances to Round 3 on Saturday where they will meet Central Wisconsin.

SUPERIOR, Wis.- In a rematch of two of the area’s best girls hockey teams in Wisconsin, Hayward once again reigned supreme over Superior, 4 to 3.

It took double overtime to decide a winner before the Hurricanes netted the game-winning goal with 2:37 to go in the period.

Hayward advances to Round 3 on Saturday where they will meet Central Wisconsin.

Puck drop is at 11 AM at Wessman Arena.
