UMD Men’s Hockey to Close Out Home Slate with Bout Against Miami

The Bulldogs last saw the Redhawks back in November, taking both games on their home ice.

DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD men’s hockey team still has two regular season series before it’s the playoffs.

That includes their home finale this upcoming weekend against Miami of Ohio.
The Bulldogs last saw the Redhawks back in November, taking both games on their home ice.
Miami is currently in the cellar of the NCHC standings and have yet to pick up a conference victory.
Head coach Scott Sandelin isn’t reading too much into that, saying you can’t overlook anyone.
“It’s going to be a very, very tough series. Right? Very tough series. If we’re not in the right mindset for it, it’ll be even tougher. If we’re in a good mindset, we have to play hard and desperate like these are the last two games of the year. Some type of mindset where you have to give everything or if we just thing we’re going to show up, they’re going to get their first win or maybe their second win,” said Sandelin.
UMD hasn’t dropped a game to Miami since the 2022-2023 season.
