New Condo Development Planned for Woodland Avenue

DULUTH, Minn.– A new condo development is in the works along Duluth’s Woodland neighborhood.

The development will include two 30-unit buildings, and they will be located along Woodland Avenue adjacent to Hartley Nature Center.

Developer Brian Forcier of Titanium Partners is behind the project, and he’s working alongside the City of Duluth to accomplish this.

He told FOX 21 the condos will not only help the housing shortage crisis, but it’s also a solution for people looking to downsize their homes.

The project itself is still very early on and it is only in the planning stages.

Forcier said that during construction his company will prioritize preserving nature and avoid taking down unnecessary trees.

He said he has heard lots of positive feedback about the new condos, but he is also acknowledging that there may be different opinions.

“It’s really important for us that people are being heard. Because my firm is based in Duluth. I’m going to see my neighbors at the grocery store and the restaurants and out in the community, and so I want to be a good neighbor to everybody that’s here. I’m from the community, and the site really, really dictates that we can do that in this case,” said Forcier.

On April 8th, there will be a Duluth Planning Commission meeting that will be open for public comment.

Construction for the first condo building is expected to begin in September.
