Hermantown Hopes to Build a New Wellness Center

A New Wellness Center for the Entire Region

On Monday, in Hermantown, the council approved a question to be put on the November ballet regarding sales tax.

The question asks for city sales tax to be expanded without increasing the current tax rate to include the construction of a regional multi-use wellness center.

The center would be for the entire region, not just those living in Hermantown.

John Mulder, the Hermantown City Administrator, said “This is a source of revenue that we have and we have excess that we could use to fund this project.”

Now it will go down to the county to get on the ballot for the November 8th general election.
