Duluth Seeks Volunteers for Debris Cleanup
Volunteers along with members of Rubicon will clean up debris throughout the city.
The city of Duluth is looking for more volunteers to help clean up after the storms a few weeks ago.
They’re looking for around twenty-five volunteers to help with moving debris.
Team Rubicon, a group of retired veterans has also come to Duluth to assist with the cleanup efforts.
“Duluth is great at helping our people and I think this is an awesome opportunity for people to give back to their neighborhoods, to give back to people who were impacted by the storm and to show that Duluth cares,” said City of Duluth Volunteer Coordinator Cheryl Skafte.
Interested volunteers will have to check in by 8 a.m. Tuesday, August 2nd at the Duluth Heights Community Center located at 33 West Mulberry street to be assigned to work teams.
The volunteers are being asked to bring gloves and safety glasses.
