Super One Round Up Donations Raises $46,000 for Northern Lights Foundation
DULUTH, Minn.–Customers who shopped at 38 Super One Foods locations helped raise $46,387 for the Northern Lights Foundation.
From January 31st through February 17th, Super One customers had the option to round up their total for the Northern Lights Foundation
The “NLF” is a nonprofit based in Duluth, and their mission is to help out families with children facing life threatening illnesses.
Overall, the foundation has raised more than a million dollars and issued grants to 260 families.
A board member for the Northern Lights Foundation said she is grateful for the overwhelming support.
“It’s very humbling how the community comes out to support missions like this. And you know for me as a board member when we get these grants and we read them and you know, you kind of tear up, it pulls at your heartstrings. But then you sit back, and you realize you’ve got this wonderful community,” said Marci Knight, a board member for Northern Lights Foundation.
With the $46,000 raised, the nonprofit is looking forward to helping out 20-30 more families.
