Trio of UMD Women’s Hockey Standouts Take Home WCHA End of Year Honors

The final face-off takes place this weekend in Duluth.

DULUTH, Minn.- The WCHA awards were announced on Thursday night,

No surprise for Rookie of the Year as that belongs to UMD forward Caitlin Kraemer.

Kraemer has 18 goals so far in her debut season.

Another well deserved honor goes to Eve Gascon, who was named the Goalie of the Year.

She’s averaging 30 and a half saves per game.

Last but not least, Clara Van Wieren is the Outstanding Student Athlete of the Year for the 2nd straight season.
