Duluth Skywalk Structural Repairs to Begin Soon
DULUTH, Minn. — Structural repairs will soon be underway for a critical link in the Duluth skywalk system between downtown, the DECC and Amsoil arena.
The concrete pillars that support the skywalk over I-35 will be the subject of the repairs, with many spots that are starting to crumble and crack.
Northland Constructors of Duluth came in with the lowest bid at 284-thousand dollars. Construction will be wrapped up before May 5th, when MN-DOT starts a major project in the area.
The skywalk above the highway will remain open throughout the process.
