Three UMD Men’s Hockey Players Named Finalists for NCHC Conference Honors

The winners will be announced on Thursday, March 20th. 

DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD men’s hockey team wrapped up their regular season last weekend.

Three UMD Bulldogs are named finalists for NCHC end of the year honors.

Freshman forward Max Plante, was named a finalist for NCHC Rookie of the Year.

Plante played in 21 games and recorded 23 points and 7 goals in his first year with UMD.

On the defensive side of the ice, senior forward Dominic James is up for Defensive Forward of the Year.

James scored 12 goals this season and leads the team in points with 28.

The final Bulldog named a finalist for conference honors was Joe Molenaar for the NCHC Sportsmanship Award.

The winners will be announced on Thursday, March 20th.
