7A Boys Basketball: Cherry & Deer River to Meet in Section Title Game After Semifinal Victories
Deer River and Cherry will tip-off at 1 PM on Saturday at Romano Gymnasium.
DULUTH, Minn.- The Section 7A championship for boys basketball is officially set.
On Thursday, the defending champion Cherry Tigers defeated the Cromwell-Wright Cardinals 87 to 53 in the semifinals.
They’ll next meet Deer River, who topped Mountain Iron-Buhl 73 to 61 in the other semifinal contest.
The two teams previously met in the 2022-2023 section title game, which saw Cherry earn the 85 to 61 win.
