UMD Men’s Hockey Falls in OT Against #12 Arizona State in NCHC Playoffs

The Bulldogs finished the season 13-20-3. 

TEMPE, Arizona. – The UMD men’s hockey team faced elimination on Saturday, as the Bulldogs faced-off against Arizona State in game two of their NCHC playoff series.

UMD started the game out hot, as they scored three unanswered goals in the first period.

The Bulldogs led 3-0 after the first.

But the Sun Devils battled back as they tied things up at five late in the third period to force overtime.

Unfortunately, the Sun Devils found the back of the net in overtime to defeat the Bulldogs 6 to 5, knocking UMD out of the NCHC playoffs.

The Bulldogs finished the season 13-20-3.
