Ground Breaks On New Hampton Inn In Superior
The new Hampton Inn in Superior will have 84 rooms and will work to supply jobs to more than 30 people.
The new facility has been in the works for more than 10 years, and on Tuesday local leaders took their shovels and broke ground.
Kent Oliver, the chairman of Oliver Company’s, said, “It always feels good to break ground. People don’t realize there is a lot of hard work that goes in and a lot of time and due diligence.”
The $9 million investment was given by the Duluth–based ZMC Hotels.
The hotel will have a view of the Superior Bay and it will be across the street from Perkins between the restaurant and the Richard Bong Veterans Historical Center.
