Curbside Clean Up Begins

City crews are out removing debris

The City of Duluth crews and contractors are out clearing boulevards and curbs of storm debris today.

Curbside Pick Up:

The City has a contractor to help City crews remove debris from curbs and streets today, July 25.

The City’s contractors will be focusing on the Lakeside neighborhood starting at 60th Ave East and heading west, while 10+ city crews will be tackling Woodland and other neighborhoods in the West end of town.

This work is to ensure that Minnesota Power crews are able to access streets with downed power lines. After this initial sweep through neighborhoods, the City will assess the progress in removal of debris in the next few days.

Residents can place debris on the street or front yard. Do not place household items or garbage next to debris. There may be debris in alleyways, the City’s primary focus is streets and front yards to ensure emergency vehicles and Minnesota Power crews can pass.

Drop off site:

From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., residents can continue to drop off their tree debris on Rice Lake Road neary Hickory Street across from the Boulder Ridge apartments. These hours have been extended through the week, as clean up continues.

Call 218-730-4357 if there is a downed tree still blocking the street or sidewalk in your neighborhood.
