Jobst-Smith & Karlsson Named to 2025 IIHF Women’s World Championship Roster for Their Respective National Teams

The IIHF Women's World Championship tournament begins on April 9th in Czechia.

DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD hockey team will represent the 2025 IIHF Women’s World Championship well, as two more Bulldogs were selected to play in the tournament.

Fifth-year senior Nina Jobst-Smith and Sophomore Ida Karlsson will play for their respective national teams.

Jobst-Smith will represent team Germany for the fifth consecutive year.

Jobst-Smith recorded three goals and 15 assists on the year for UMD.

For Karlsson, she will play on the Swedish world team.

Karlsson tallied three goals and four assists for the Bulldogs this year.

Jobst-Smith and Karlsson will join Eve Gascon as Bulldogs playing in the tournament.

The IIHF Women’s World Championship tournament begins on April 9th in Czechia.
