CSS Football Welcomes CJ Butt to Coaching Staff

Before joining the Saints, Butt was a defensive backs coach at Drake University from 2022-2023.

DULUTH, Minn.- The CSS football team has added a new coach to their roster.

The Saints hired CJ Butt as an assistant head coach and defensive coordinator for the 2025 season.

Before joining the Saints, Butt was a defensive backs coach at Drake University from 2022-2023.

During his time with the Bulldogs, he helped lead the team to back-to-back Pioneer Football League titles.

The Saints finished the 2024 season 4-6.
