Blue Cross and Blue Shield Retail Center Opens

Duluth is Now Home to the Third Retail Center in Minnesota

For many people across the country, shopping for insurance can be a stressful situation, one that isn’t always easier when done online.

On Thursday, the task got a little easier right here in the Northland, as the brand new Blue Cross and Blue Shield Retail Center opened up in  the corner of the Duluth Maurices building.

You may recall, the building freshly opened up back in February.

5,000 square feet of space will now allow staff to offer face-to-face support in a bright, modern environment.

The company’s CEO tells FOX 21, he’s excited to have Minnesota’s third location right here in Duluth.

“It is warm, inviting, we have an open desk here to invite people, and really if they have any questions about health care, whether they’re a member of not, this is the place to come,” CEO Mike Guyette said.

The space also includes a community room, which will allow for many non-profit organizations to meet and discuss various topics.

“Duluth is one of our biggest markets for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and we’re so excited to be connecting even deeper with the community,” Guyette said.
