Hermantown’s ‘Luxury Imports’ Opens With California Flare

BMWs, Mercedes and other used luxury vehicles are making their way from the West Coast to the Northland.

It’s all part of the business model for a new company in Hermantown called Luxury Imports & Auto Sales.

Owner Alvin Berg and business associate Mike Nynas have been moving vehicles from California to Hermantown for the past several months — all with the goal of bring accessible luxury vehicles closer to home.

“We go to auctions, dealer auctions, out in California. It gives us a great selection to choose from of different vehicles. You can pick up anything out there, there’s such a great selection,” Nynas explained.

Nynas says the auctions help keep prices low when they arrive in Hermantown, with a variety for inventory.
