Former UMD Assistant Coach Ryan Kirsch Joins South Dakota State Coaching Staff

Kirsch spent two seasons in Duluth.

DULUTH, Minn.- A former UMD assistant coach is climbing the coaching ranks.

Ryan Kirsch has joined the South Dakota State coaching staff after spending the last year as the head coach of Iowa Central Community College.

Before his time leading Iowa Central, he spent two seasons in Duluth.

The most memorable one for Kirsch and company came in the 2022-2023 season, where UMD earned their first NCAA tournament victory as well as won their first regional title and made their first elite eight appearance.
