Duluth Marshall Baseball Survives Scare from Esko in 7AA Title Game Rematch

Duluth Marshall improves to 2-0 and will next host Aitkin on April 23rd.

DULUTH, Minn.- The Section 7AA championship rematch didn’t disappoint as the Esko and Duluth Marshall baseball teams met up for the first time in 2025 on Wednesday.

After holding a 3-0 lead heading into the top of the 7th, the Hilltoppers gave up a two-run triple to Jackson Peterson, making it a one-run contest.

That was the only blemish Owen Marsolek had on the mound as he bounced back and was able to get the final out on a strikeout.

Marsolek went all seven innings and struck out 11.

Duluth Marshall improves to 2-0 and will next host Aitkin on April 23rd.

As for Esko (2-1), they are at Two Harbors on Thursday.
