DeWitt Seitz Marketplace Gearing up for 40th Anniversary Celebration

DULUTH, Minn.– A big Twin Ports milestone is being celebrated this weekend.

DeWitt Seitz Marketplace in Canal Park will be hitting its impressive 40th Anniversary.

The marketplace has been a hot spot for tourists and Duluthians alike to browse shops, restaurants, and boutiques.

And with the 40-year anniversary approaching, 10 shop owners decided to band together to celebrate.

The festivities will begin with a ribbon cutting celebration on Friday

On Saturday, DeWitt Seitz will celebrate with anniversary bag sales, live music, and plenty of drawings and events.

One of the shop owners told FOX 21 the building isn’t the only thing being highlighted this weekend.

“Proud of it. And my staff. You know, we have a great local following, and great customers. We’re looking to celebrate with them, and celebrate them this weekend,” said Jane Jenkins, owner of the ‘Blue Heron’.

The Blue Heron will also be organizing a food drive this weekend during the celebration.

And with those donations, you can receive 20 percent off on a bag of merchandise.

The celebration itself will take place Saturday May 3rd until 7 PM.
