UMD Baseball Drops NSIC Tourney Opener to Wayne State

UMD will next face Minnesota Crookston in the elimination bracket.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- The UMD baseball team opened up NSIC tournament play on Wednesday, facing Wayne State in the opening round.

After trailing 7-2 heading into the top of the 8th, UMD rallied back to force extras with the game tied at 8.

That’s where Taylor Gill ended it as he had the game-winning rbi single in the 10th to give Wayne the 9 to 8 victory.
