Six-Run 8th Inning Not Enough as UMD Baseball Team Gets Eliminated in NSIC Tourney

UMD finishes the season with a 26-27 overall record.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- The UMD baseball team faced an uphill climb on Thursday if they wanted to keep their season alive.

The Bulldogs started out the day by defeating Minnesota Crookston 11-5 in a elimination game.

That victory set up another elimination game with Sioux Falls, which went back and forth.

Sadly, a three-run 8th by the Cougars pulled them ahead of the Bulldogs for the 11 to 10 win.
