Bulldogs Standout on Day Two of NSIC Track and Field Championship Meet
The final day of the NSIC conference meet is Saturday, May 10th.
DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD track and field team opened up day two of the NSIC outdoor track and field championship on Friday.
In the men’s 3000 meter Steeplechase. UMD senior, Jack Vankempen placed in the top three, earning a third-place finish with a time of 9: 21.39.
Over in the women’s 1500 meter prelims, UMD’s Madeline Verkerke took home the first-place finish with a time of 4: 43.04.
Verkerke will race tomorrow in the finals.
For the men’s 110 meter hurdles prelims, UMD’s Sam Blomberg finished 5th and qualified for the finals with a time of 14.28 seconds.
The final day of the NSIC conference meet is Saturday, May 10th.
