Regional Group To Take Over Minnesota Wildfire Fighting
DULUTH, Minn. – State and local fire teams have been leading the battle against the Camp House and Jenkins Creek fires since they broke out on Sunday and Monday respectively.
That will change the morning of Wednesday, May 14.
The Eastern Area Complex Incident Management Team will assume management of the Camp House and Jenkins Creek fires.
The complex incident management team has greater access to regional and national firefighting resources.
The Eastern Area Complex Incident Management Team is an interagency office consisting of personnel from USDI Bureau of Indian Affairs, USDI Bureau of Land Management, USDI National Park Service, USDI Fish & Wildlife Service, and USDA Forest Service.
They comprise teams from the Midwest to the Northeast – including states from Minnesota to Maine and Missouri to Maryland.
