Second Harvest Northland Shows Off New Headquarters

Second Harvest Northland LogoDULUTH, Minn. – Second Harvest Northland held a walk-through of its new facility at the Atlas Industrial Site in the western edge of Duluth.

The facility has a 13,600 square-foot freezer and cooler addition to help provide fresher and more nutritional foods to those in need.

Second Harvest says demand is increasing, especially with inflation.

“Certainly, we know, with everything happening in the federal government right now, there’s a lot of uncertainty, so just building that support so that we can make sure that we’re here for neighbors is going to be really important the next few months and years ahead.” said Shaye Morris, President and CEO of Second Harvest Northland.

Meanwhile, Second Harvest Northland is working to open a market for people to buy groceries.  They also hope to create a volunteer and community engagement center.
