Temporary Access Allowed in Wildfire Evacuation Zones

NORTHLAND, Minn. — The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office is allowing property owners temporary access to the Jenkins Creek and Camp House wildfire evacuation zones today, May 16, until 8 PM.

Property owners must check in with deputies at Hugo’s Bar (Camp House) or County Road 16 and Forest Highway 11 (Jenkins Creek), and show ID and proof of ownership. All must check out when leaving.

Officials warn of hazards like downed trees and urge caution.
