Duluth FC Co-Owner John Shuster Takes Over as Team’s GM

Shuster fills the void of Charlie Forsyth, who resigned in December after previously spending ten seasons with the team.

DULUTH, Minn.- In his 3rd full season with the team, Duluth FC co-owner John Shuster is adding another responsibility to his plate.

Last week, the BlueGreens announced at their Media Day that Shuster is now the team’s general manager.

He fills the void of Charlie Forsyth, who resigned in December after previously spending ten seasons with the team.

Shuster admitted it’s been a bit of a learning curve in his new position, but the goal stays the same as it has in year’s past, and that’s to build a championship team.

“We have a tremendous product on the field, trying to obviously continue to rise as Duluth FC. It’s big shoes to fill because Charlie Forsyth did an incredible job general managing this team for so long. I also have to for me take a step back and know that it’s not going to be perfect because it is my first crack into it. But it’s been fun though and rewarding,” said Shuster.

Duluth FC is off to a 1-0-1 start this season. They’ll next be in action on Saturday at Minneapolis City SC.
