EMS Appreciation BBQ at St. Lukes
DULUTH, Minn. — It’s EMS Appreciation Week! Aspirus St. Luke’s celebrated by holding a picnic for EMS Professionals.
Tig’s Smok’n Pig BBQ was there feeding the EMS family.
Paramedics, first responders, fire, medical transport and other EMS workers were all welcome.
Aspirus St. Luke’s holds a picnic every year for EMS Appreciation week.
“First of all, it’s just a lot of fun, nice to have lunch with people that you’ve known for a long time. And then, you know, whenever you share a meal with somebody, it just always makes your interactions with them a little more personable. It’s hard to get mad at somebody who you like to have dinner with. So yeah, it’s a nice opportunity to just kind of take a little breather and catch up.” said Amery Robinson, an Emergency Physician and Medical Director of the Aspirus St. Luke’s Emergency Department.
EMS Appreciation Week celebrates the service EMS professionals provide to the community.
It’s nationally recognized in May each year.
