Veteran Resource Fair helps Vets Find Support

HIBBING, Minn. — A Veteran Resource fair in Hibbing aimed to get Vets together and help them explore their options for support.

Over 35 vendors were there, from mental and physical health, veterans’ organizations and offices, and other services.

There were also people to help veterans through the process of filing, submitting and following up on paperwork for benefits.

By bringing all of the organizations together, it allowed veterans to see what was available to them.

“Veterans don’t have always have a good idea of what benefits are they’re entitled to, and coming to a one spot to shop kind of thing gives them a really good insight as to what they’re eligible to receive through the veterans or VA.,” said Jeff Ronchetti, Chair of the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Hibbing-Chisholm

The first 100 Veterans got a swag bag and all veterans in attendance received free lunch.

At the fair, U.S. Steel presented a 65-thousand-dollar donation towards the ‘Honor and Restore’ project, read more here.
