Duluth Huskies One Day Away from 2025 Home Opener
First pitch for the Huskies home opener on Saturday is at 5:35 p.m.
DULUTH, Minn.- The Duluth Huskies opened up their season on the road against the Waterloo Bucks earlier this week.
So far, it’s been not the start they were hoping for as they went 1-3 in that series.
Maybe a little home cooking can change that. As the Huskies will host the Eau Claire Express in their home opener on Saturday.
The homestand will continue on Sunday and Monday as Duluth battles with the La Crosse Loggers.
For two local standouts on the Huskies squad.
They are pumped to call the Wade their home field for the summer.
“Well for me, this was kind of, this is the place to play for playoffs for high school around here. So, it’s cool to be able to play here a lot more. Like when we play here it’s like a cool, like hey were going to play at Wade. It should be a big crowd there. So, I think it’s really cool to be able to have this as our home field, said Huskies pitcher Nick Terhaar.
“Having fun playing in front of the hometown fans should be great,’ said Huskies pitcher Bjorn Lind.
