West Superior Street ramp to I-35 closed for construction

City of Duluth logoDULUTH, Minn. – The City of Duluth has closed the West Superior Street ramp.

Contractors will be doing pavement restoration work.

The eastbound detour runs from Mesaba Avenue  to W First Street, to Sixth Avenue W.

The westbound detour is from W Superior Street to Sixth Avenue West, and then south on Mesaba Avenue.

The closure is anticipated to last through June 13.

The detours may cause significant travel delays for drivers heading south out of downtown.

The City says commuters may wish to alter their travel plans to avoid delays.
