Minnesota Gains 9,000 Jobs in February
Minneapolis employers added 9,000 jobs in February.
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development released February job numbers on Wednesday.
According to the report, Minnesota has gained 42,137 new jobs over the past year, an increase of 1.5 percent.
The unemployment rate held steady at 3.7 percent last month, the fourth consecutive month at that level.
That falls below the national unemployment rate of 4.9 percent.
Education and health services led the pack with 4,900 new jobs in February. Trade, Transportation and utilities, construction, financial activities and information also gained jobs.
Business and professional services, leisure and hospitality, government, manufacturing and logging and mining all lost jobs.
