Skiers Hit Trails in Duluth
Many of the Trails are Open for Skiing
When the temperatures are warm enough to comfortably be outside, but cold enough to keep the ground frozen, even a busy work day won’t keep skiers like Annette Hofslund from hitting the trails.
The skiing season didn’t start any earlier than previous years, but now, most of the trails across Duluth are open for people to enjoy.
“There’s always Hartley and Bagley and a whole bunch of different options, so even if the snow isn’t awesome here, I can always go somewhere else,” said Hofslund.
And the sunny skies and above zero temperatures are a welcome change after a string of subzero days
“It’s been a little cold for me, and I also had a little bit of a cold,” said Hofslund.
And though some skiers say they could use more snow, they are excited they can get out to exercise and enjoy nature’s pristine beauty.
“Just to be outside and enjoy the fresh air, no matter what the temperature is, it feels great,” said Kate Hansen, a skier.
