Porchfest Returns to Superior
SUPERIOR, Wis. – An annual music festival begins this week, continuing into September
Porchfest, a free, family-friendly music festival, returns for the sixth year in a row to local neighborhoods across Superior every other Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. starting this week through September. The music festival brings live music, food, and art to neighborhood blocks, encouraging community connection and celebrating local talent.
“We book at least two, excuse me, three to four, sometimes five, musical acts, and it’s all free within a couple three block radius, and people just mingle around,” said Scott Lillo, the president of Porch Fest.
The yearly festival, founded by Siggy’s Musical Garden, started small with only a few musicians and guitars, and has grown to attract around 200 community members, continuing to do so each year.
